Welcome
People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. Learning to embrace your whole self, rethinking your relationship to substances, navigating complex relationships, processing trauma, grief, and loss, are just some of the reasons to seek out support.
Friends and family aren't always able to offer what we need and might even leave you feeling misunderstood, unseen and invalidated. A dedicated, safe space to explore our inner worlds, gain perspective on our pasts, heal from hurts, and find clarity, with the guidance of a therapist, can be incredibly powerful.
If you're ready to feel more grounded and comfortable with who you are, I'm here to support you with empathetic counseling that builds trust, and fosters healing through caring and relationship. My approach is strengths-based, trauma-attuned, and rooted in feminist & 2SLGBT+ anti-oppressive values.

How I Can Help
I have an eclectic approach, which just means I use a variety of counselling methods during our sessions. Mostly I draw from Narrative Therapy, Relational Psychotherapy, and Internal Family Systems ("parts work") and incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) where they may be helpful. My foundational philosophy is rooted in intersectional feminism and anti-oppressive practice.
I am strongly oriented towards social justice and recognize the impact of the intersections of oppression on our lived experience. Therapists have a role in dismantling systems of oppression where we can. I actively work to create a safe, welcoming space, and am committed to openness, feedback, and unlearning biases. I offer a limited number of sliding scale rates.
Please let me know if you have financial pressures creating a barrier to accessing counselling support, and we can discuss further.
